Informational Guide to Austin–Bergstrom Airport (AUS) - NON OFFICIAL

Austin Airport South Terminal

The South Terminal at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is now closed.

Its final day of operations was March 31, 2026. Beginning April 1, 2026, Allegiant Air and Frontier Airlines moved their operations to the main Barbara Jordan Terminal.

Important Update for Passengers

If you are flying with Allegiant or Frontier, please go directly to the Barbara Jordan Terminal for check-in, security screening, arrivals, and departures.

Austin-Bergstrom now operates all commercial airline service from a single terminal, making the travel experience more streamlined for passengers.

Why Did the South Terminal Close?

The South Terminal closed to make way for airport expansion works as part of the Journey With AUS program.

Its removal supports the development of the New Midfield Taxiways, a key infrastructure project that will help Austin-Bergstrom accommodate future growth and advance additional expansion plans.
